Shade variation between pieces

Cut all pieces of one colour from the same dye lot, and inspect under daylight rather than factory light.

Uneven hem

Measure the hem at four points on a flat surface. An uneven hem is the defect customers photograph most often.

Stitching pulls

Check the sleeve seam and the side seam under tension. Loose tension shows up after one wash, not in the warehouse.
